Bad advice

In anticipation of our very own Absinthe Parlour, the Doll will be sampling and sharing a selection of absinthe cocktails. (And then a few cures for drinking too many absinthe cocktails.) Let's say we start with the hardest and work backwards from oblivion...

We love a cocktail named after a book. Or a book named after a cocktail. Or a book and cocktail given the same name simultaneously. Any of these do it for us.

Hemingway's instructions: (follow at own risk) 'Pour one jigger of absinthe into a champagne glass. Add iced champagne until it obtains the proper opalescent milkiness. Drink 3 to 5 of these slowly.'

Doll's instructions: (to minimise risk and still remember your name) Rinse champagne glass with absinthe. Add iced champagne and garnish with lemon zest.
